this morning, i had great honor meeting this police woman, real Wonder Woman in real life, who happened to be one of the students' mom, at Anna's school safety meeting for parents! i told her, "Blue Lives Matter!" ^^ She is 6 feet tall big strong woman! ^^ btw, yesterday, Anna brought home a giant Valentine's card made by one of her classmates, so, she also made one big Valentine card yesterday after school and brought to school today for her classmate. also, Anna has prepared all the Valentine's cards+pencils for all her classmates! ^^
this morning, 8:15am i gotta attend Anna's school safety meeting for parents!
As i always said, Honesty and Safety are both Best Policies for Better Life! :-)

Our effort didn’t fall short due to lack of effort and expertise from our team. And our volunteers every day were stunning and beyond belief in their efforts. While I truly wish the results were different, I would rather lose with honor than win without it. Thank you so much for your prayers, your sacrifices of time and money, and your tireless efforts for our campaign.
Rumors abound that I’m getting ready to endorse someone, but those rumors are totally untrue. While I may eventually support one of the candidates, right now I have a lot of things to do in wrapping up the loose ends of the campaign, trying to figure out my next chapter of life, and spending some time with my dogs who probably wonder if I had abandoned them. (I haven’t!)

Since their mom is white and their dad is black, so they are very beautiful <Milk Chocolate/Chocolate Milk>! Anna's planning on visiting her new little friends later today! :-)
Awesome! Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 4 days in a row, Texas will be warming up to 70-degree, perfect temperature for me to make/ bake my favourite whole wheat olive oil flaxseed cheese bread! YA! Texas so far so sunny bright beautiful! We are family, Anna, Linda and Kent. ^^

Glad today 01/21/2016 we have some rain again here in Dallas; so far so good, kinda chilly cold, but no snow and i'm not "frozen"! Thank GOD, this winter has been nice and beautiful! yesterday, Anna told me that when her teacher was asking her, "Anna, does your mom work?" Anna replied, "No, my mom doesn't have a job. She works for Me!" that's right! i like my little boss, my daughter! her childhood only happens once not twice...i just can't miss it! When i was young, during my 20s, i worked hard and used to keep two jobs in Taiwan, working for a bank from 8 to 5 and then teaching English from 7 to 10. Now, i am a full time mother for my daughter, and this is the happiest time of my life! of course, in the near future, i probably and very likely need to get a job when i can leave Anna home alone for a couple of hours whenever i go to work. In a word, we all need to make a living, enjoy life and most of all, Be happy and Be safe! Life is Good! GOD is Great! U.S.A.~ Beautiful! :-)

小小新娘的悲歌難終止！一名差點被「嫁掉」的孟加拉女孩最近在《半島電視台》上撰文，談及其他被迫童婚的小小新娘時說：「我們就像等著被賣掉的牛一樣無助。」但即便許多國家都試圖立法禁止，父母仍常會將女孩嫁掉，而巴基斯坦限制童婚的法案18日甚至二度闖關失敗，理由是該法案「反伊斯蘭精神」。兒童新娘造成嚴重的貧窮、失學與高生產風險的社會問題，然而即便許多有童婚問題的政府都立法禁止，但父母仍會偷偷將女孩嫁掉，因為對女孩父母及男方來說都是一項划算的交易，父母拿到好嫁妝，而男人則娶到純潔的童妻。一名娶了13歲童妻的25歲的孟加拉男子便說，「我選她的原因是因為她很純潔，不像其他女生都會跟男生搞在一起。」在巴西，與14歲以下兒童發生性行則會觸犯強姦罪，但普查數據顯示，該國有近4.3萬名14歲以下的兒童與伴侶同居。除了文化，信仰也是難以遏止童婚的原因，在巴基斯坦，提議將女孩法定結婚年齡從16歲提高到18歲的法案，日前卻因「反伊斯蘭」等理由遭到反對，而再度闖關失敗，因為在伊斯蘭律法裡女孩年滿9歲就能結婚。「這一切都源於想要控制女孩的想法，」孟加拉女孩莎西則很幸運地從童婚的命運逃脫，她在《半島電視台》上撰文提到，家人早在她很小時便不斷試圖安排她的婚姻，母親也常會語帶威脅地說，如果她在學校表現不好，就會早早把她嫁掉。莎西16歲時叔叔想要把她嫁給一名40歲的有錢男人，「我進到房間，看到一個又老又肥的男人坐在那裡，嬸嬸把我們單獨留下來，我就知道發生什麼事了，一心只想趕快逃跑。」最後莎西成功逃脫這樁婚姻，但也在她心裡留下很大陰影，「那些童婚的女孩讓我想起市場裡等著被賣掉的牛，像我當天一樣非常無助」。據反童婚團體數據顯示，童婚率最高的印度每年有1000多萬女孩於15歲以前結婚、僅次於印度的孟加拉也有235萬。根據聯合國兒童基金會統計，孟加拉每年有65%女孩在18歲生日時結婚，更有29%在15歲就嫁人。

當民進黨籍的總統參選人蔡英文以百萬為單位甩開對手朱立倫，任誰都看得出來，執政八年的國民黨大勢已去，台灣即將迎來首位女總統。《華盛頓郵報》中國分社社長西蒙∙丹耶爾（Simon Denyer）認為，蔡英文贏得本屆總統大選，除了代表台灣在二十多年的民主化之後終於站穩腳步，這場選舉也意味著台灣是一個不同於對岸共黨老大哥的國家。
馬政府傾中也搞不好經濟。
丹耶爾認為，國民黨八年來的執政強調與中國修好，但是台灣的經濟卻停滯不前，其結果反而造成兩岸關係前景不明。馬英九總統想靠與中國交好拯救台灣的糟糕經濟，雖然兩岸經貿與台灣觀光確實有所改善，但好處幾乎都進了財團口袋，去年台灣整體的經濟成長也連1%都難達成。一位38歲的台灣工程師王偉民（音譯）投票後向《華郵》表示：「貧富不均在國民黨執政時變得更糟。」他受訪時懷裡還抱著才8個月大的女兒，王偉民說：「我想要我的女兒在一個自由而充滿機會的社會裡成長，而非所有的資源都被有錢人壟斷。」
台灣人民的自我認同已經改變。
48歲的麵包師傅朱先生說：「蔡英文沒說清楚她要怎麼處理台灣獨立的問題。台灣如果想要發展，免不了還是要跟中國合作，但這與民進黨的原則有矛盾。」不過丹耶爾也說，大部分的選民並不認為這是問題，因為許多人對馬政府主政下的台灣日益仰賴中國感到不滿，許多人也相信蔡英文可以合理地處理兩岸問題。丹耶爾認為，蔡英文的勝選反映了台灣人民的自我認同已經有所改變：這座島嶼上的人們不再認為自己是中國人，甚至不認為自己同時是中國人與台灣人，從投票結果來看，他們認為自己就只是台灣人。這個轉變從台灣民主化之後就已經開始，在馬英九的主政之下，更因為與中國的關係加速進行。在蔡英文的場子上，有些人毫不避諱他們想要獨立的主張。一位40歲的白領陳先生就說：「我希望全世界都能知道我們是台灣，不是中國。」

Our problem is that our politicians have not created policies that would bring create economic growth.
